This is the first of Ponti's strongly colored facades, typical of his Milanese houses of the thirties the Domuses 1931-33, Casa Marmont, 1931. Ponti's favourite colours: red, ocher, green, yellow. There's always interplay between the colored and the white parts of the facade. Here the plaster is red, with white horizontal fascias. The gazebo on top of the building is red and white. The building has a travertine socle. The project was by Gio Ponti and Emilio Lancia.
